Onecom launches self-serve AI receptionist platform so businesses never miss a call again
Onecom, the UK's leading independent business communications technology partner, has launched a self-service platform enabling businesses to create an intelligent AI-powered receptionist in just five minutes.
Today's launch opens up the pioneering Onecom Halo platform, previously only available to Onecom customers, to all UK businesses for the first time – allowing AI agents that hold real-time conversations with customers to be created, tested and deployed through a simple process at onecomhalo.ai
Running on Onecom VOX, the company's carrier-grade voice core, which carries 250 million voice calls a year, the agents answer calls 24 hours a day, take messages, book appointments, answer common questions and transfer calls to a human when needed. They also provide a transcript and summary of every call. Any business can create an agent and test it for free, without any obligation to buy.
Businesses can use their existing phone number, or be provided with a local landline number by Onecom for free – whether or not they are already a customer.
Aaron Brown, CEO of Onecom Technology Group, said: “Every missed call is a customer ringing your competitor instead. Through our process, anyone can build a 24/7 receptionist that speaks for their business, put it through test calls, and have it answering the phone the same day. There are no sales calls or site visits involved – it all happens online.
“We’ve been supporting organisations to communicate and engage with customers for 20 years but Onecom Halo is the first product we've put directly in the hands of any UK business – and it won't be the last.”
To create an agent, customers simply visit onecomhalo.ai and enter their website address along with relevant information such as opening hours, prices, frequently asked questions and rules for call handling.
Customers can then make test calls to hear their agent in action before paying a penny. Once the business is ready for its agent to go live, it can access the service through a simple monthly subscription.
Onecom Halo supports more than 32 languages across voice and digital channels, with support available from Onecom's specialist AI teams if needed.
