VoLTE Trial Promises Crystal Clear Voice Calls With Faster Connection

Onecom, UK’s largest independent business telecoms provider ,

With the high profile, international computer show CeBIT taking place this month in Hanover, Vodafone Germany decided to launch its brand new VoLTE (Voice Over LTE) service to coincide with it.

Vodafone Germany has claimed that this is the first service of its kind in the country: the first live VoLTE call has been demonstrated by Vodafone, and has said that it is ready for it to be put into operation across its 4G network.

Vodafone Germany is saying that the new service will give ‘crystal’ clear voice clarity, and an extremely quick connection speed. It will also be very safe, as the calls will be encrypted to ward against any unwanted people listening in.

The launch is all part of Vodafone’s plan for digitalisation, which will focus on 5G and safe communications, not only for companies, but for the IoT (Internet of Things) as well.

Chief Executive Officer at Vodafone, Jens Schulte-Bockum, talking about the recent developments, said: “Germany’s digitisation requires more than just smart factories: smart Germany will begin from smart factories. Therefore digitisation must also come to people as well as for small and large businesses to offer simplicity, security and affordability. With fast, secure networks we can bring Germany into the [time of the] Internet of Things.”

Claims are also being made by Vodafone Germany about being the inaugural developer of secure e-mail encryption that is able to function on mobile devices such as tablets and PCs. The company is confident that this development will make it more economical and will simplify the unification of operations for firms even if they have international business links.

Not wanting to be left out, Vodafone UK has announced that it is ready to launch a WiFi and VoLTE service this coming summer.
