The Challenge

A recent appointment of a COO underscored the need for digital evolution at Age UK. The charity required a unified communications partner for a pivotal mobile project. However, internal resource limitations, a lack of mobile project expertise, and uncertainty about existing mobile contracts posed significant challenges. The previous vendor's inactivity in portfolio management created ambiguity around spend and project scope. Furthermore, implementing a new CRM system required mobile deployment for the entire 370-strong staff, demanding meticulous device management in compliance with GDPR regulations.

The Solution

In close collaboration with Age UK, Onecom expertly addressed these challenges. By executing a seamless mobile port and introducing Nokia G22 handsets, sustainability was amplified in this digital transformation. Aligning with Age UK's ethos, the Nokia brand's eco-conscious narrative found resonance. A robust Vodafone tariff ensured cost stability amid anticipated data usage spikes. Onecom's OneCloud portal facilitated finance management, accurate reporting, and efficient asset oversight.

Nokia G22 handsets empowered Age UK's workforce, reflecting the charity's sustainability commitment. For every device sold (a total of 370), a tree was planted, reaffirming Age UK's dedication to both service excellence and environmental preservation. Beyond mere mobile provision, the partnership with Onecom paved the way for future digital undertakings, leading to reduced costs, GDPR compliance, and operational efficiency.
