Paul Butler

Leading Vodafone Total Communications Partner, Onecom Communications, announces a raft of strategic wins, both with new and existing customers over the past few weeks, underpinning the High Wycombe based cloud telephony provider's great heritage in delivering enterprise mobility.

In addition to converting long-standing customer GES, from mobile only to a company wide deployment of VONE-C, Vodafone's Cloud Unified Communications solution for nearly 2,000 users, Onecom has also secured new wins from; MAN Truck and Bus UK Ltd, part of the Volkswagen Group, facility management company Omniserve in addition to global bank Mizuho and Empark.

In addition to winning these new customers and adding considerable base growth, GES's switch to Vodafone's VONE-C is supplemented with the re-signing of two of Onecom's largest mobile customers, Mace Group and a leading international law firm.

This raft of new contract wins adds over 7,000 new mobile users to the Onecom base, and brings more than 10,000 corporate citizens contracted for a further 3-5 years.

Onecom Chief Executive, Martin Flick commented, "Following on from the recent Cygnet Cloud Unified Communications win, it's pleasing to see that we have not only evolved our proposition to be a market leading UC and Cloud provider but recent activity shows we haven't forgotten our roots.

"Many of these wins clearly indicate Onecom's alignment to Vodafone's own focus of helping more businesses take advantage of Total Communications and our joint strategy to upsell from traditional mobile to Unified Communications.

"Similarly, MAN Truck & Bus UK, a major supplier of trucks, buses, coaches, luxury coaches and engines, awarded Onecom the contract to help them transform their communications estate. After a full review of their telecoms strategy, involving several the UK's largest networks and communications providers, MAN Truck & Bus selected Onecom for our innovative approach and experience across multiple disciplines."

Helen Freestone, Director of Partners and Alliances at Vodafone said "We're delighted with these recent wins and the close collaboration between Onecom and Vodafone. The UK communications market is changing and technology is playing an increasingly important role in a business' ability to be productive and stay competitive. To address this, Onecom has invested in its own capabilities so it can help even more UK businesses reap the benefits of the latest technologies that will help them to be successful now and in the future."

Flick concluded, "I'm incredibly proud of what the team have achieved in 2017 and look forward to an exciting start to 2018. We have a number of multi million pound contracts in negotiation that we hope to announce soon, forming the foundations of a strong and growing pipeline for 2018."
