  • New deal outlines plans to grow business with Vodafone to £600m over the next five years
  • Growth to come from existing strong mobile base plus enhanced fixed offerings to drive convergence
  • Onecom in prime position to benefit from Vodafone’s roll-out of 5G

We are delighted to announce, Onecom has signed its biggest ever partner deal with Vodafone UK and have plans to grow our business with Vodafone to a record £600m over the next five years.

The partnership agreement aims to deliver more than £100m annual revenue from mobile, fixed line, broadband and IT services; and puts Onecom in pole position to take advantage of Vodafone’s growth ambitions in the B2B market. The new deal includes our commitment to triple growth in fixed line services and to become the market leader in unified communications solutions for the SME market.

It also ensures Onecom is well positioned to capitalise on Vodafone’s roll-out of 5G, which begins on 3rd July this year.  We commissioned recent research(1) that reveals 64% of SMEs could upgrade to 5G within six months of it becoming available to them.

Ben Dowd, our CEO, said: “This unprecedented partnership deal is further evidence of Onecom’s robust performance and ambition for growth. This success is built on partnerships with some of the world’s leading brands; and the commitment to providing communications solutions that have a huge impact on how our customers do business at a local, regional and national level.”

“In renewing this partnership, Vodafone has recognised Onecom’s significant contribution to growing mobile revenues and driving further growth in fixed line and IoT as well as our award-winning customer service.  We are now well placed to deliver on our mission of offering UK SMEs best-in-class converged mobile, data and IT solutions that are tailored to their needs.”

Onecom was named Vodafone Total Communications Partner of the Year in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018.

This announcement is the latest boost to Onecom’s growth strategy following a £30m funding deal with HSBC announced last month.

  1. Onecom commissioned the market research company Consumer Intelligence to interview 118 SME owners and senior managers working for SMEs to interview them on their future plans for 5G. Interviews took place in June 2019.
